Get Prism Launcher.
Download and install Prism Launcher for your operating system. This is where you’ll manage your Minecraft account and pack instance.
Download Prism LauncherImport the pack.
In Prism, choose Add Instance → Import. Select the public pack ZIP you downloaded above, or paste this URL:
Use the attached Prism ZIP, rather than GitHub’s source-code archive. The public instance follows the pack’s public updates.
Set Java and memory.
Open Settings → Java in Prism and select Java 21. New pack imports use a maximum heap of 12 GiB.
If your PC has 16 GiB of RAM, lower the allocation as needed to leave room for your operating system and other applications. Large Distant Horizons generation jobs may need more memory.
Existing instances retain their memory setting. To adopt the pack default, use Edit Instance → Settings → Java → Maximum memory → 12288 MiB. The instance inherits Prism’s Java selection and supplies its recommended Java 21 garbage-collector arguments.
Launch. Let it do its thing.
Sign in with your Minecraft account in Prism, then launch the instance. Allow the Packwiz pre-launch command when prompted: it downloads the mods and keeps the pack updated.
The first launch downloads the pack files. If a download fails, resolve the reported problem and retry before playing.

Updates & versions.
The public instance checks for pack updates when you launch. Back up local worlds before updating, and confirm that your channel or fixed version matches the server.
Use separate instances when switching versions. Don’t downgrade an existing world; this pack does not migrate AOCA/RC8 saves. Extra mods you add are your responsibility.
A LITTLE TROUBLESHOOTING
Hit a snag?
The pack won’t start.
Confirm Prism is using Java 21, check your memory allocation, and read any error shown by the Packwiz pre-launch command. Resolve failed downloads and retry before playing. If you’re stuck, bring the error message to Discord.
I can’t join the server.
Check that you have the current connection details and access from the group. Your client must use the corresponding pack channel or fixed version. Ask on Discord which one the server is running.
How do I remove the pack?
Save any worlds and schematics you want to keep, then remove the instance through Prism. There is nothing to uninstall through Windows Apps.
